Elmhurst Ill. - Elmhurst Men's Track & Field team finished 6th at the Elmhurst Twilight Invitational on Saturday night.
The Jays finished 6th with 51 points. In 1st was North Central College with 162.5 points, College of Dupage in 2nd with 106 points, and Olivet Nazarene finished 3rd with 83.5 points.
The Bluejays had two winners on the night with both Logan Turney in the Pole Vault with a 4.35m mark and Rickey Martinez with a 46' 4.25" mark in the Triple Jump, this also placed Martinez 2nd in the CCIW top performers list and his personal best all-time.
The Jays had many players placed in Saturday's contest. In running, Eric Jandura finished 3rd (16.11) and 4th (1:01.25) in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, which is his all-time best. Zack Fidrocki (15:55.49) and Nicholas Williams (15:57.76) both finished 7th and 8th in the 5000m and both ran personal bests. James Palumbo finished 7th in the 800m with a time of 1:57.01 and Joey Barber finished 8th in the 1500m with a time of 4:07.43. The 4x100m team finished 5th with a time of 43.12, they consisted of Jacob Cockrell, Rickey Martinez, Jaedon Thompson, and Tyresse Miller. The 4x400m team also finished 8th, with a time of 3:35.57 and they consisted of James Palumbo, Joey Barber, Kayden Miller, and Aidan Ihms.
In Jumps, Patrick Campbell finished 4th with a 42' mark, this also put him into 8th of the CCIW top performers list. Teammate Kayton Garrett was right behind Campbell and finished 5th with a mark of 41' 8.75".
Martinez also finished 8th in the Javelin with a distance of 41.07m.
Many other Bluejays finished with personal bests, in the 100m were Michale Colant, Jacob Cockrell, Zuhair Khan, and TJ McNamara. In the 200m, Harry Llobrera. In the 400m Zaiden Smith, and Harry Llobrera, and in Javelin Adrian Campos.

The Bluejays will travel to Augustana College as they will host the CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championship on May 3-4th.
