Naperville Ill. - The Elmhurst men's track and field team competed at the North Central Outdoor Invite on Thursday and Friday night finishing 7th with 43 points. In first, with 172 points was host North Central, in second with128 points was Wis.-Whitewater, and in third Carthage with 113.5 points.
Andrew Wieser led the way for the Bluejays as he placed 2nd in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.90.
In the 3000m Steeplechase, Nicholas Williams placed third with a time of 10:31.93, and right behind him in fourth was Preston Bailey with a time of 10:43.19.
In running, Eric Jandura finished 5th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.23, while Joey Barber would finish 4th with a time of 4:06.44 in the 1500m, the 4x400 team finished 8th with a time of 3:44.21 and consisting of Harry Llobrera, Zaiden Smith, Wieser and Jandura. Caleb DeBoer also took home points finishing 17th in the 5000m with a time of 16:13.88.
In jumps, Rickey Martinez took home 5th in the triple jump with a 12.79m mark, and Owen Sheley would place 8th in the high jump with a 1.73m mark.
Martinez and Nicholas Ervin would each place 7th in their respective throwing events with Ervin in shot put hitting a 13.03m mark and Martinez hitting a 44.83m mark in the Javelin.

The Bluejays will host the Chicagoland Invitational on April 5th an 6th at Langhorst Field.
