Kenosha Wis. - The Elmhurst men's track and field team traveled to Carthage College to partake in the Tad Metzger Invitational. The Bluejays took 3rd with 101.5 points out of 11 teams. Wheaton College came in 2nd with 150 points and Carthage College in 1st with 169 points. 

The Bluejays had two winners in the events this weekend. Nicholas Williams won the 5000m with a time of 16:18.01, and Logan Turney won the pole vault event with a 4.50m mark. 

In running, Marvin Tchangwa took 2nd in the 400m (52.59), and James Palumbo took 5th in the mile (4:34.99). Andrew Wieser took 4th in the 600m (1:31.90), Joey Barber also took 4th in the 800m (2:02.35), and Rickey Martinez took 5th in the 55m (6.76), all of which were personal bests as well. 

In the 5000m, Caleb Deboer took 5th (16:37.05), and Hector Herrera took 6th (16:51.27), both of which were personal bests. They were followed by teammates Brandon Pounders 7th (17:19.06), and 8th Christian Gleba (17:43.58).

Four Bluejays placed in the Triple Jump, Kayton Garrett 2nd (12.59m), 4th Patrick Campbell (12.22m), 7th, Jeffery Leighliter (11.86m), and Jaedon Thompson 8th (11.51m). 

In Jumps, Martinez finished in 2nd in the Long Jump with a 6.53m mark, and Garrett finished in 3rd with a 6.38m mark, making that his personal best. Campbell finished in 7th (6.11m). Align with them, Owen Sheley finished in 5th in the High Jump with a 1.75m mark. Eric Jandura finished in 4th in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.55. 

The 4x400 relay team finished in 5th with a time of 3:40.98, the team consisted of Harry Llobrera, Tyresse Miller, Luca Ferrantelli, and Jandura. 

A few Bluejays did run personal bests as well. Llobrera in the 600m, Miller and Hudson Wills in the 800m, Patrick Bailey in the mile, and Zack Fidrocki in the 3000m.

 The Bluejays travel next to Chicago as they will partake in the Windy City Rumble on February 10th.
