The Bluejays finish day one in sixth place, totaling eight team points. Elmhurst found points in two events thanks to all-CCIW performances in the distance medley relay and the pole vault.

In the distance medley relay, the team of James Palumbo, Zaiden Smith, Marvin Tchangwa, and Joey Barber finished in fifth-place with a time of 10:38.97, earning Elmhurst four team points.

In the 60m Hurdles, junior Eric Jandura advanced to Saturday's final with a qualifying time of 8.91, a new personal best.
