Bloomington Ill. - The Elmhurst men's track and field team struggled in their tri-match at the Illinois Wesleyan I-55 invite, only recording one event win. 

The Bluejays finished in third with 39 points, Illinois Wesleyan finished in first with 88, and Washington U. finished in second with 85.5. 

Elmhurst's Eric Jandura broke his own 60m Hurdles school record with a time of 8.97 which placed him 2nd in the event and moved him up to 5th in the CCIW top performers list. 

The 800m was the best performance from the Bluejays score-wise as Marvin Tchangwa came in 1st with a time of 1:59.91, and James Palumbo came in 4th with 2:02.47. 

The Bluejays performed well in the Jumps with Rickey Martinez finishing 3rd in the Triple Jump with a 12.91m mark and Kayton Garret finishing 5th in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump with a 6.21m mark (LJ) and 12.57m mark (TJ). 

In Throws, Nicholas Ervin finished 2nd in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.04m, and he finished with personal bests in both Shot Put and Weighted Throws, while his teammate Jonathan Ortiz also finished with a personal best in Weighted Throws. 

Many Bluejays ran well today recording personal bests, in the 60m Jacob Cockrell and Zuhair Khan; in the 200m Harry Llobrera, Cockrell and Khan; in the 400m Andrew Wieser and Llobera; and the Mile Zack Fidrocki.
