Elmhurst, Ill. - The Elmhurst University Women's Soccer team earned their second straight victory, 2-0, over Great Lakes Christian College on Wednesday night at Langhorst Field.

The Bluejays (2-1) scored two goals late in the second half, both by Kelli Coughlin. In the 71st minute, she was assisted by Michelle Cuervo and in the 85th minute scored the goal unassisted. The Bluejays as a team also collected 19 total shots, four from Coughlin and Kendal Freischlag and three from Olivia Trivedi and Camila Rubio. Megan Kleve also gained her second shutout of the season with four saves on the night  The Bluejays also tallied six corner kicks on the evening.

The Crusaders (1-2)  had four shots on the night, three of which came form Chelsea Waller.

The two teams battled back-and-forth to a scoreless first half, but the Bluejays came out strong in the second half by creating chances and knocking on the door of a go-ahead goal. Coughlin finally broke the scoreless tie after a missed shot by Trivedi rebounded to Cuervo, who found Coughlin in space and buried her shot into the back of the net, putting Elmhurst up in the final 20 minutes of the match.

Coughlin added on to the lead in the 84th minute after a shot attempt from Freischlag rebounded off a Crusaders' leg straight to Coughlin, who took the ball and scored to record the frst brace of her collegiate career.
