Elmhurst, IL - Elmhurst University freshman defender Nora Simon has been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's All-Region VIII Third Team, earning one of the region's top postseason distinctions after a superb all-around campaign for the Bluejays.

Simon delivered a remarkably consistent season, starting all 20 matches she appeared in while logging 1,707 minutes, the highest total among all Elmhurst field players. Her steady presence along the back line anchored a defensive unit that allowed just 17 goals across 21 matches, helping guide the Bluejays to a 12–6–3 overall record.

A true two-way contributor, Simon added key offensive production as well. She scored two goals on the season—including tallies against Ripon and Knox—and recorded four total points. She generated offense with confidence, taking 25 total shots and placing 14 on frame, good for a strong .560 shots-on-goal percentage. Her ability to push forward while maintaining defensive structure made her one of Elmhurst's most versatile and reliable players.

Simon also delivered in decisive moments, recording one match-winning goal while maintaining exceptional discipline on the field, committing just one caution despite her heavy workload and defensive responsibilities.

The honor marks the first United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection of Simon's career and recognizes a season defined by endurance, leadership, and high-level performance. Her recognition reflects both her individual growth and the continued competitive rise of Elmhurst women's soccer.
