WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Elmhurst University track and field team returned to action by placing ninth at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Squig Invitational.

The Bluejays totaled 10 points to finish ninth in the team standings.

Braxston Redmond finished eighth in the 800 meters, finishing the race in 2:00.16. Nick Williams added a top-10 finish in the mile run, placing 10th in 4:41.88. Ian Loudermilk placed 15th in the 60 meter hurdles in 7.43 seconds.
 
Uzair Ali finished third in the long jump, leaping to a distance of 6.88 meters. Jeremy Inniss finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of 6.28 meters. Brett von Schwedler finished 12th in the high jump (1.76 meters) while Rickey Martinez finished 14th at 1.71 meters. Matt Tobin scored an 11th place finish in the pole vault by clearing a height of 4.20 meters.
 
The Bluejays' 4x400 relay team of Redmond, Andrew Matuszewski, James Palumbo and Jamal Slaven finished sixth in 3:34.47.
