ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst men's track and field scored 49 points to finish in seventh place at the Elmhurst University Twilight Invitational.

North Central finished first in the team standings with 169 points while Wheaton placed second with 152.5 points.
Â
Jeremy Inniss finished eighth in the 100 meters in 11.55 seconds while
Luca Ferrantelli added a top-10 finish by placing ninth in 11.58 seconds. Ferrantelli also finished 10th in the 200 meters in 23.69 seconds.

Andrew Matuszewski scored a third-place finish in the 400 meters, finishing the race in 53.41 seconds.
James Palumbo added a third-place finish in the 800 meters, completing the race in 1:58.89. Â Andrew Weiser finished fourth in the 400 hurdles, breaking the finish line in 1:02.59.

The Bluejays' 4x400 relay team of Matuszewski,
Josphat Langat, Palumbo and
Jamal Slaven placed fifth in 3:36.62.

Ethan Patterson added a 10th-place finish in the high jump in 1.65 meters. Inniss added a fifth-place finish in the long jump after leaping to a mark of 6.14 meters.

Elmhurst had a strong day in the throws. Chris Pedersen placed third in the shot put, measuring a toss of 12.32 meters. Pedersen added a fifth-place finish in the discus with a throw of 34.54 meters.
Thomas Schwartz added a ninth-place finish in the discus with a mark of 29.73 meters. The Bluejays'
Logan Techentin and Brett von Schwedler placed third and fourth, respectively, in the javelin. Techentin recorded a throw of 40.92 meters and von Schwedler's toss measured 39.82 meters.
