ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst University's
Bryce Gable has been named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's all-conference football team, earning first-team accolades at linebacker.
The all-conference honor was the second for Gable, a junior linebacker from Grandville, Mich., after he earned second-team all-conference honors in his freshman season of 2019.
Gable led the Bluejays in several categories including total tackles (117), solo tackles (72), assisted tackles (45) and tackles for loss (19). He ranked second on the squad in quarterback sacks with 6.5 while co-leading the squad in interceptions (three). He also led the team in fumble recoveries (four) and forced fumbles (two) while adding a pair of defensive touchdowns for the Bluejays. He ranks among the nation's leaders in several defensive categories including solo tackles (fourth at 7.2 per game), total tackles (seventh at 11.7 per game) and tackles for loss (16th at 1.8).
Against CCIW opponents, Gable led the league in tackles (103), solo tackles (63), assisted tackles (40) and tackles for loss (16.5).
