NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst  men's tennis team closed the book on its 2018 season by placing eighth at the 2018 CCIW Championships at North Central College.

Elmhurst (0-19) opened the day with a 5-0 loss to Carroll University in the consolation round before falling 7-2 to Illinois Wesleyan University in the seventh-place match. 

Against the Titans, Elmhurst scored a point No. 2 doubles after Grant O'Connell and Nico Favuzzi stopped Dylan Mikaili and Tim Hughes 8-6. Shawn Sabaricos added a point in singles play with 6-1, 6-1 victory over Hughes at No. 2 singles.
