Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The Elmhurst men's tennis team slipped to 0-3 on the season following a 9-0 loss at Cornell College. 

Cornell (1-1) swept the the doubles matches to open play. Shoma Kishimoto and Tucker Banres teamed to stop Elmhurst's David Demoll and Grant O'Connell 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Dayden Dzurisin and Tom Greene stopped Mike Pieroni and Tavious Imperial 8-2 at No. 2 doubles while Connor Schanen and Jonah Hildebrandt earned a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles. 

In singles play, Kishimoto topped Demoll 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 while Dzurisin upended Shawn Sabaricos 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. O'Connell sufered a 6-4, 6-3 loss to Barnes at No. 3 while Greene dispatched Imperial 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 Schanen earned an 8-3  win over Pieroni at No. 5.
