HANOVER PARK, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's tennis team picked up its first victory of the season by shutting out Dominican 5-0 at Centre Court.
Elmhurst swept the three doubles matches to take a quick 3-0 lead.
Kyle Endicott and
Jackson Lindquist toppled John Mysz and Camden Knights 8-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Brandon Fulmer and
Grant O'Connell followed with an 8-2 win over Frank Lally and Antonio Morales at No. 2 doubles.
David Wilson and
Kevin Osburn closed doubles play with an 8-4 victory over Chandler Allen and Tarik Abdullah at No. 3.
Only two singles matches were played to completion. Endicott dispatched Mysz 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles while Lindquist defeated Lally 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3. Fulmer was up a set on Abdullah at No. 2 while O'Connell was leading 4-3 at No. 4 when the Bluejays sealed up the 5-0 victory.
Elmhurst (1-17) plays at Illinois Wesleyan on Friday, April 28.
