ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss at the hands of Carthage College at the Brune Tennis Courts.
Carthage (9-11, 3-2 CCIW) opened with three straight doubles victories. Herman Abban and Pawel Jaworski stopped Elmhurst's
Kyle Endicott and
Jackson Lindquist at No. 1 doubles 8-4. Chris Conley and Matt Curry toppled
Brandon Fulmer and
Grant O'Connell 8-3 at No. 2 while Lukasz Jaworski and Fordy Leipold defeated
David Wilson and
Kevin Osburn 8-0 at No. 3
In singles play, Abban downed Endicott 6-3, 6-3 at No.1 while Jaworski followed with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Fulmer at No. 2. Conley downed Linquist 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 while Jaworski upended O'Connell 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4. At No. 5 singles, Oscar Irazoque dispatched Wilson 6-4, 6-0. Leipold defeated
Mike Pettineo 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
