ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's tennis team slipped to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the CCIW after falling to Augustana College 5-4.
Augustana (10-9, 2-1 CCIW) swept all three doubles contests and won two singles matches to secure the 5-4 victory.

Luke Tanaka 8-1 at No. 1 doubles while Austin Schoeck and Harald Olsson toppled
Ricardo Franco and
Matt Kulma 8-2 at No. 2 doubles. The Vikings finished the doubles sweep with Patrick Lenz and Connor Woolf scoring an 8-2 win over Elmhurst's
Quinn Jennings and
Allen Riquelme at No. 3 doubles.
Elmhurst fought back in singles play, winning four contests. Harrison downed Totten at No. 1 singles. Harrison won the first set 6-4 before Totten was forced to retire in the second set. Tanaka scored a 6-4, 0-6, 6-3 win over Pohl at No. 2 singles and Jennings dispatched Lenz 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Franco toppled Schoeck 6-3, 7-6 at No. 5 singles. Olsson scored Augustana a point at No. 6 singles with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Riquelme. The match hinged on the No. 4 singles match with Woolf outlasting Kulma in three sets (6-2, 2-6, 6-3) to score the Vikings the one-point victory.
Elmhurst face Wartburg College and Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, on Saturday, April 18.
