ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's tennis team upped its record to 7-4 by blanking Dominican University 9-0 at the Brune Tennis Courts.
Elmhurst swept all three doubles contests and breezed to all six victories in singles action en route to the victory.
Chris Harrison and
Luke Tanaka combined to defeat Krystian Drozdz and Camden Knights 8-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Matt Kulma and
Ricardo Franco followed by shutting out Tarik Abdullah and Logan Marvin 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. The Bluejays' duo of
Quinn Jennings and
Allen Riquelme toppled Mohit Shekhar and Chandler Allen 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Harrison opened singles play by blanking Drozdz 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Tanaka scored a 6-1, 6-2 win over Abdullah at No. 2 singles while Jennings dispatched Knights 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Kulma shutout Frank Lally 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles while Franco downed Allen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Riquelme wrapped up singles play with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Marvin at No. 6 singles.
Elmhurst host Carthage College on Monday, April 13.
