ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst College's Vincent McPherson has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

McPherson, a sophomore from Glenbard South High School, posted a perfect 4-0 record last week while playing at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.

In Elmhurst's 9-0 victory over Concordia-Chicago, McPherson dispatched Tim Staffeld 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. He teamed with Kevin Noble to blank Concordia's Vince Termini and Chayanne Martinez 8-0.

In the Bluejays' victory over Augustana, McPherson toppled the Vikings' Jack Cullen 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. He and Noble upended the Vikings' Jack Cullen and Colin Arnold 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.

McPherson has a 13-13 overall record in singles competition and an 11-11 mark in doubles play.
