MILAN, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's golf team shot a two-day total of 644 to tie for 15th place at the Augustana College Invitational.
The Bluejays tied for 15th place with Benedictine University and Knox College. Illinois Wesleyan won the team title with a 593. The University of Dubuque placed second with a 604.
After shooting a 331 on the opening day, the Bluejays shad 18 strokes off their day two total, finishing with a 313.
Grant Yoder was the top finisher for the Bluejays, shooting a two-day total of 154. Yoder carded a 78 on day one and shot a 76 on day two to tie for 23rd place. Joe Johnson and
Nick Dylla finished with an identical score of 161 to tie for 53rd place. Johnson shot an 85 on day one before taking nine shots off his day two score of 76. Dylla fired an opening round 83 on Friday and closed out the tournament with a 78.
Evan Haase finished in 90th place with a 168 (85-83) while
Mike Somone rounded out the Bluejays' team score in 105th place with a 177 (87-90).
Competing as individuals,
Tyler Beyak tied for 63rd place by shooting a 163 (81-82).
Jon Gill finished in 111th place with a 183 (95-88).
Elmhurst competes at the Carthage College Invitational on April 24.
