JOLIET, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's golf team shot a one-day score of 321 to place third out of nine teams at the University of St. Francis Spring Invitational.
The Bluejays took third with a 321, finishing just two strokes behind St. Francis and Olivet Nazarene. Both schools finished with a 319, but St. Francis took home the team trophy based on a tiebreaker.
Nick Dylla turned in the strongest round for the Bluejays. Dylla carded a six-over 78, finishing tied for fourth in the individual standings.
Evan Haase finished just one stroke behind Dylla in eighth place. Haase completed the course with a 79.
Joe Johnston tied for 14th place with an 81 while
Mike Somone fired an 83 to tie for 19th place.
Tyler Beyak rounded out the Bluejays' top-five by shooting an 89, tying for 38th place in the process.
A pair of Bluejays competed as individuals.
Jimmy Critchfield placed 41st with a 90 while
Jon Gill finished in 46th place after shooting a 94
Elmhurst golfs at the Augustana College Invitational this weekend (April 13-14).
