DE PERE, Wis. - The Elmhurst College men's tennis team moved to 2-2 on the season after splitting a pair of matches at St. Norbert College. 

Elmhurst toppled St. Norbert 7-2 before falling to Lake Forest College 6-3.

ELMHURST 7, ST. NORBERT 2 - The Bluejays toppled the host Green Knight 7-2 by taking five of the six singles matches and two out of three doubles matches.

Alex Harbert scored a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles over Tim Hartwick. Will Jung added a 0-6, 6-4, 10-6 victor over Matt Lobeck at No. 3 singles. Vincent McPherson followed with a 6-4, ,4-6, 10-4 win over Nick Acosta at No.4 singles.Justin Guenther (6-3, 6-2 over Josh Sweere) and Dean Leventis (6-4, 6-2 over Danny Meicher) scored wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

In doubles play, the tandem of Jung and Dave Devaney toppled Acosta and Meicher 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Harbert and McPherson teamed up to sink Derek Harrington and Lobeck 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.


LAKE FOREST 6, ELMHURST 3 - Elmhurst dropped to 2-2 on the season following a 6-3 loss to Lake Forest. An injury for Elmhurst forced the entire team to move up one position in singles play.

Elmhurst scored all of its points in singles play. Jung toppled Elliot Muth 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2 singles while Leventis toppled Chris Paterakos 6-4, 7-6 at No. 5 singles. Jim White added a 6-2 6-3 win over Kevin Lasky.

Elmhurst travels to Hope College on March 5.
