NAPERVILLE, Ill. - For the third time this season, including the second consecutive week, Elmhurst College middle hitter
Megan Reynolds has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week in volleyball.
Reynolds, a sophomore from Marian Catholic High School, led Elmhurst in kills, blocks, and hitting percentage while helping the Bluejays finish the month of October undefeated.
On Wednesday, she totaled six kills and seven blocks in a three-set sweep over Illinois Wesleyan. On Saturday, she was named to the all-tournament team at the Benedictine University Invitational after helping the Bluejays to the their 15th-straight victory with wins over Benedictine and Edgewood College. Against Benedictine, she totaled 17 kills and six blocks while hitting .351. She added 10 kills and three blocks in the Bluejays' win over Edgewood.
Reynolds currently leads the Bluejays in kills (360), kills per set (3.21), hitting percentage (.379), blocks (139) and blocks per set (1.24).
Elmhurst (28-4) hosts Illinois Wesleyan in a CCIW Tournament Play-In match tonight (November 1) at 7:00 p.m.
