NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Elmhurst middle hitter
Megan Reynolds has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Reynolds, a sophomore from Marian Catholic High School, was named to the all-tournament team at the Elmhurst College Invitational this past weekend after helping the Bluejays to a perfect 4-0 mark.
On Friday she totaled 12 kills and two blocks in a win over Wisconsin-River Falls and then added 14 kills and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep over Wisconsin-Platteville. On Saturday, Reynolds smashed 13 kills and tallied seven blocks in a 3-0 win over Simpson College. She closed the tournament with eight kills and four blocks in Elmhurst's 3-1 win over 16th-ranked University of Chicago.
Earlier in the week, Reynolds recorded eight kills and six blocks in the Bluejays' three-set sweep over North Park. For the week, she hit .526 with 55 kills while totaling 22 blocks (1.38 per set).
Elmhurst is ranked 17th in the latest AVCA national poll and has won 12 straight matches.
