ELMHURST, Ill. – Elmhurst Cross Country will compete at six events leading up to the 2026 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, held in late November in Northfield, Minn.
The Bluejays will open the season at the Lewis University Flyer Early Bird, making their first appearance at the meet since 2022 on Friday, September 4. Later in September, the Jays will compete at Wheaton College's Gil Dodds Invitational, to close out the month.
Three races are on tap for the month of October, beginning with a preview of the national championship course during the Carleton College Running of the Cows on October 3. On October 17, the Bluejays will get another preview of a championship event while competing at the Augustana College Interregional Invitational.
The run of championship events begins on Halloween, when Elmhurst returns to St. James Farm to compete at the CCIW Cross Country Championships. The NCAA Midwest Regional Championships will be held two weeks later as the Jays return to Augustana, with sights set on qualification for the NCAA Championships, held on November 21.
