Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Game 1
Redlands 11, Elmhurst 0
W: Katlyn Gandara (10-1) L: Danielle Hood (0-1)

Elmhurst opened the doubleheader facing an early deficit against Redlands. The Bluejays kept the game in play and created chances across multiple innings, but were unable to overcome the Redmans 11-0.

Offensively, Elmhurst showed moments of production by pushing runners to the base outfield, and took on the role of maintaining the gap. In the fourth inning the Bluejays saw light as Bailey Porffit singled to middle field for the lone hit of the game. In the circle, the Bluejays pitchers Daniel Hood, Emma Lenczewski, and Kylie Hoyh tried to find a gap inning-by-inning, working to limit the Redmen. With Daniel Hood opening she was able to strike out 2 batters, while Lenczewski and Hoyh minded the last two innings.

Game 2
Redlands 11, Elmhurst 3
W:  Paige Ellinger (5-3) L: Kylie Hoyh (0-3)

Elmhurst faced an early challenge as Redlands built momentum in the opening innings with a 1-0 lead by Daniel Hood after Redlands infield error. Offensively the Bluejays worked to generate baserunners, but were unable to find a breakthrough ending the game 11-3.

The Bluejays offense continued contact across the lineup. The Bluejays gained momentum in the fifth inning when Annamarie tripled to center field, allowing Sifney Carlson to score. Paired Brenna Morleys at bat allowing Annamarie to follow up at home, cutting the deficit to 9-3. The lineup demonstrated consistency, keeping the ball in play and competing throughout the game.

Elmhurst's pitching staff worked collectively in the circle, handling multiple innings and continuing to compete against Redlands' offense. With Kylie Hoyh taking the opening inning, Adeline Denny closed out for the last 4.2 innings with a high of 58 pitches.

The Bluejays will file out agaun in California for another double header against Occidental Thursday, March 26 at 2:00 PM.
