ELMHURST, Ill. – Three Bluejays were recognized on Wednesday as part of the 2026 All-CCIW Softball Team. Senior second baseman Bailey Proffitt along with sophomore outfielder Kaylee Aimone were named to the All-CCIW Second Team, while senior third baseman Danielle Hood was honored as Elmhurst's CCIW RESPECT Award recipient.

Proffitt finished second on the team with a .342 average on the season, while playing in all 40 games and collecting a team-high 39 base hits. The Rock Island native had a season-high six-game hit streak to start the 2026 season, and collected multiple base hits in four of the final six contests to close out the year.

Aimone recorded a .339 average over 25 games for the Jays, finishing tied for 3rd on the team with 11 RBI despite fewer games played. The Plainfield native slugged .468 this season, with three doubles, a triple and home run, the highest average among players with at least 10 or more at-bats.

Hood was recognized by the conference as the Bluejays representative for the CCIW Respect Award, which recognizes student-athletes who distinguish themselves with values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust. Hood also had a strong season on the diamond, hitting .322 with five doubles, two home runs, and 11 RBI.
