NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Making their second appearance at the Al B. Carius Track at North Central College, the Bluejays picked up three victories at the F. Lee Slick Invitational on Friday.
Carmela earned her fifth victory of the season, and her fourth in the women's 400 meters, with a winning time of 57.78.
A pair of Bluejays finished in a tie with identical times in the women's 60 meter hurdles, with Tiana Grady and Brooke Greaves both taking the win, running 8.88 seconds. Both athletes set new season-bests, with Graves improving to 14th nationally with a time of 8.74 in the preliminaries, and Grady moving up to no. 22 in Division III.
Woods was part of a second victory on the day, running the anchor leg of the women's 4x400 meter relay. Sherlyn Carrasco, Olivia Brach, and Violet Schramm joined Woods for a winning time of 4:10.49.
On the men's side, Austin Long earned a spot on the podium in the high jump, clearing 1.90m (6' 2.75") to place 3rd.

The Bluejays now prepare for the 2026 CCIW Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28, in Bloomington, Ill.
