Men's Golf Shatters Record Books with Runner-Up Finish at Delaware CC Shootout

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Elmhurst University men's golf team turned in a record-setting performance to finish as the runner-up at the Delaware CC shootout, posting a two-round total of 581 (+21). The Bluejays placed second in the six-team field, just seven strokes behind champion Indiana University East.

Leading the way was Bo Smith, who captured medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 139 (-1), firing rounds of 69 and 70. His performance set multiple program records, including the lowest 36-hole tournament score in school history, while his 69 and 70 stand as the second- and third-lowest individual rounds in Elmhurst history.

William Davis joined Smith inside the top five, placing fourth overall with a 143 (+3) after back-to-back rounds of 73 and 70. His 36-hole total marked the second-lowest in program history.

Evan Daniels tied for 11th with a 149 (+9) following rounds of 74 and 75, while Anay Saxena placed 15th at 150 (+10) after carding 76 and 74, also the third and fourth-lowest 36-hole scores in Bluejay history. Quinn Ross rounded out Elmhurst's scoring lineup in a tie for 18th, finishing at 152 (+12) with rounds of 76 and 76.

Along with the standout individual performances, Elmhurst shattered several team records. The Bluejays recorded the first- and second-lowest single-round team scores in school history with rounds of 292 and 289, respectively. The team's 581 set a new program record for the lowest 36-hole tournament score.
