AURORA, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's golf team placed 10th overall at the AU Double Gun, hosted by Aurora University at Aurora Country Club.
In their season-opening event, the Jays carded rounds of 300 and 317 for a two-day total of 617.
William Davis paced Elmhurst with a 150 (+6) to tie for 18th individually, highlighted by an opening-round 73.
Evan Daniels tied for 38th with a 155 (+11), including an even-par 72 in round one.
Anay Saxena tied for 42nd with a 156 (+12), while
Bo Smith tied for 54th at 158 (+14).
Quinn Ross rounded out the lineup in 80th place with a 163 (+19).
Elmhurst's JV team placed 15th in the tournament with a total of 655, improving 23 shots in the final round (339–316). Brandon Yeh led the group, tying for 54th with a 158 (+14) after a strong second-round 74.
Gabriel Christopher tied for 71st with a 161 (+17), followed by Lachlan Bowen in 83rd with a 166 (+22). Riley Taylor tied for 86th at 170 (+26), while Jack Krueger tied for 97th at 176 (+32).
The Bluejays are back in action this Friday, September 5, at the Delaware CC Shootout in Muncie, Ind.
