NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Elmhurst University women's soccer swept the first set of CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the 2025 season, with junior midfielder
Kelli Coughlin earning Offensive honors and freshman midfielder/defender
Nora Simon collecting Defensive recognition.
Coughlin fueled the Bluejays' 2-0 start with a nine-point week, totaling three goals and three assists over the opening weekend. In Elmhurst's 4-0 season-opening win at Concordia Chicago, she tallied two goals and added an assist to factor in on three of the team's four scores. Two days later, she contributed a goal and two assists in a 10-0 victory over Rockford.
Simon anchored the Bluejay midfield and back line in her collegiate debut, helping Elmhurst post back-to-back shutouts to open the year. The freshman logged 68 minutes in the opener against Concordia Chicago and added another 50 minutes in the win over Rockford, limiting the two opponents to a combined total of just one shot.
The Bluejays return to action this Wednesday, September 3, on the road at Benedictine at 7:00 p.m. in Lisle, Ill.
