ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team erupted for a 10-0 victory at Rockford University on Sunday afternoon, improving to 2-0 on the season.

The Bluejays scored seven times in the opening half and added three more after the break while holding the Regents without a shot.

Lauren Nevins led the attack with a first-half hat trick, striking in the 11th, 22nd, and 24th minutes to help Elmhurst pull away early. Grace Bray added her first career goal in the 19th minute, and Aubrey Pasquale, Kendal Freischlag, and an own goal from RU pushed the margin to 7-0 by halftime. In the second half, Martyna Bogaczewicz, Kelli Coughlin, and Iberia Munoz each found the net to round out the scoring. Audrey Bray contributed two assists, while Angie Lopez, Hannah Wurster, and Bogaczewicz also added helpers.

The Bluejays fired 42 shots, including 20 on goal, and earned 13 corner kicks while not allowing Rockford a single attempt. Elmhurst also utilized three goalkeepers—Erin Fitzharris, Megan Kleve, and Sequoia Ross—who combined for the team's second consecutive shutout.

The Bluejays continue their season-opening road trip with a match at Benedictine University this Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7:00 p.m.
