JOLIET, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's golf "B" squad turned in another strong performance at the University of St. Francis Fall Invitational on September 9, finishing in second place out of 11 teams at Wedgewood Golf Course. The Bluejays carded a team score of 295, placing just eight shots behind Aurora's "A" junior varsity squad, who claimed the team title with a 287.

Elmhurst was led by Lachlan Bowen, who fired a 71 to tie for fifth place individually. Gabe Christopher added a 74 to tie for ninth, while both Liam Eber and Riley Taylor delivered matching rounds of 75, each tying for 15th. Jack Kruger rounded out the scoring lineup with an 82.

Individually, Elmhurst's Carson Conklin competed unattached and shot an 80 to tie for 35th, while Danny Bowen carded an 84 to tie for 45th.

Joliet Junior College's Mitchell Fulayter claimed medalist honors with a blistering round of 65, finishing five shots clear of Aurora's Ty Pennypacker (70). Bowen was Elmhurst's top finisher inside the top five, while three other Bluejays finished inside the top 20.
