GREENWOOD - The Elmhurst University softball program was honored this week with four student-athletes earning spots on the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Hailee Jenkins were each recognized for their excellence in both the classroom and on the diamond.
To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while also making significant contributions to their team athletically. The honor highlights a unique blend of academic commitment and athletic performance.
Ali Mockenhaupt posted a standout season both at the plate and in the field while maintaining a 3.92 GPA in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The junior hit .343 with a .471 on-base percentage, tallying 24 hits, six RBIs, and two stolen bases across 27 games. Defensively, she was perfect in the field, not committing a single error on 124 chances, while turning three double plays.
Chiara O'Leary, a triple major in Business Administration, Political Science, and Urban Studies, boasted a 3.94 GPA. O'Leary batted .222 with 12 hits, including two doubles and a triple, and drove in five runs. She also made 13 assists without committing an error, finishing with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Clara Rice, a K-12 Physical Education major with a 3.92 GPA, led the Bluejays in batting average, posting a .351 mark in 27 games. The sophomore slugged an impressive .545, racking up 27 hits, including five triples and one home run, and collecting 14 RBIs. She also added two sacrifice flies and a stolen base.
Hailee Jenkins also studies Communication Sciences and Disorders and maintains a 3.63 GPA. She started 25 games this season and contributed defensively at multiple positions.
