Decker, Graves Earn All-CCIW Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The College Conference of Illinois ans Wisconsin (CCIW) announced the All-CCIW awards from the 2024-25 campaign Wednesday morning, with two Bluejays earning All-CCIW honors.

Lorrie Decker (First Team) and Mary Graves (Second Team) represented the Bluejays on the all-conference teams for the second-straight season. The Bluejays are tied for the most honorees in the conferene with Carroll and Marian.

Decker earned First Team All-CCIW honors for the second-straight season, and earned honors for a third time in her career after being named a second team honoree in 2022-23. Through the entire 2024-25 campaign, Decker led the CCIW in individual scoring average (19.77 avg/frame), frame fill percentage (83.0), traditional format scoring (19.5 avg/frame), and baker format scoring (19.96 avg/frame). Additionally, Decker topped the individuals list in strike percentage across both formats and numerous other statistical categories. In the overall player composite performance index, Decker was the top-ranked bowler in the conference in 2024-25.

Graves earned Second Team All-CCIW honors for the second-straight season, after also earning First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year honors in her 2023-24 freshman campaign. Graves was amongst the conference's best in spare conversion percentage, ranking third with a 66.7 conversion percentage. In the overall player composite performance index, Graves was the sixth-ranked bowler in the conference in 2024-25.

The All-CCIW honors also included seven recipients of the CCIW RESPECT award, which Contessa Szymczak was the Elmhurst honoree. At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.

The Bluejays are set to host the 2025 CCIW Women's Bowling Championship this Saturday and Sunday, March 22-23, at Suburbanite Bowl in Westmont, Ill. Elmhurst serves as the tournament's four-seed, facing off against top-seeded Marian in the opening mega match at 10:00 a.m.
