Roberts Leads Bluejays with All-Conference and Elite 26 Honors at CCIW Championships

The Elmhurst University women's cross country team capped its fall campaign with a strong showing at the 2025 CCIW Championships, hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. Racing through steady early-November conditions, the Bluejays turned in several season-best efforts and collected multiple all-conference honors.

Senior Molly Roberts led the charge for Elmhurst, earning CCIW First Team All-Conference honors with a third-place overall finish in 22:38.2. Her consistent splits kept her among the lead pack throughout the 6,000-meter race, and her academic performance also earned her the prestigious CCIW Elite 26 Award, recognizing the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA among all competitors at the championship.

Junior Jessica Solar added a top-15 finish, clocking 23:17.1 to take 15th place and earn CCIW Second Team All-Conference recognition. Not far behind, Junior Paige Rewerts contributed another strong raced, finishing 18th in 23:22.2, also securing Second Team All-Conference honors.

Senior Alyssa Roelli delivered a composed performance, finishing 23rd in 23:32.0, while junior Jade Benavides (24:06.2) and freshman Joanna Rivera (24:08.8) provided key depth just outside the scoring five. Rounding out Elmhurst's lineup were Sandy Chagoya (24:29.8), Keagan Burke (24:33.4), Julietta Contreras (24:55.0), and Morgan Ashcroft (25:04.5).

The team's performance was further highlighted by senior Lauren Snelgrove, who was honored with the CCIW Respect Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership, integrity, and positive impact within the Elmhurst program and across the conference.

The Bluejays' strong showing at the conference meet reflected both their depth and determination, with multiple all-conference finishers and a season marked by steady progress and recognition on and off the course. The bluejays will be trveling to Iowa to for Midwest Regional, on the
