WAVERLY, Iowa (Nov. 15, 2025) – Coming off a runner-up finish at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship, the Elmhurst University women's cross country team traveled to Waverly, Iowa, to compete in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championship at the Max Cross Country Course. The Bluejays delivered a strong postseason performance, placing ninth overall in a 30-team field.
Senior Molly Roberts once again led Elmhurst with an outstanding regional run. Roberts finished 25th overall in 22:48.4, making a huge improvement through out the corse of her career.
Elmhurst's depth was key, with a tight scoring pack following Roberts. Jade Benavides was the Bluejays' second finisher, placing 51st in 23:46.7, and Paige Rewerts crossed just behind in 52nd, also clocking 23:46.7 to strengthen Elmhurst's top three.
Junior Jessica Solar added a 68th-place finish with a time of 24:00.1, while freshman Joanna Rivera rounded out the Bluejays' scoring five, earning 88th place in 24:21.5.
Senior Alyssa Roelli provided valuable support as Elmhurst's sixth runner, taking 98th in 24:30.4, and Sandy Chagoyacompleted the team's top seven with a 130th-place finish in 25:22.5.
Elmhurst finished the meet with 281 points to secure ninth place in a highly competitive regional championship field. The NCAA will announce at-large team and individual selections on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:00 p.m. CST.
