WARRENVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Gil Dodds Invitational, with the women placing fifth of 15 and the men finishing 10th of 19.
On the men's side, Michael Bailey led the Bluejays for a time of 26:09.0, placing 18th. Scott Harvey followed in 60th (27:29.9), while Sean Buckley took 78th (27:52.9). Jack Helms finished 125th (28:54.5), and Michael Johnson placed 139th (29:18.0) to round out Elmhurst's scoring five. The Bluejays totaled 267 points.
Jessica Solar paced the Elmhurst women, finishing 21st with a time 23:09.3. Morgan Ashcroft placed 25th (23:15.0), while Joanna Rivera and Paige Rewerts finished back-to-back in 40th and 41st, both clocking 24:11.3. Julietta Contreras completed the Bluejays' scoring five in 54th (24:45.5). Elmhurst scored 125 points, seven behind fourth-place Wisconsin-Parkside.
Up Next: The Bluejays travel to Northfield, Minn., for the Running of the Cows on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Bill Huyck Cross Country Course.
