PEORIA, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's golf team is in seventh place following the opening round of the 2024 CCIW Men's Golf Championship at Weaver Ridge Golf Club.

Elmhurst put together a team total of 321 (+33) to finish the day in seventh out of the nine competing conference teams. William Davis is the current Bluejay leader, carding a three-over round of 75 to rank in a tie for 13th through 18 holes. Dino DiGrazia and Anay Saxena each carded an eight-over 80 to place T27 after the opening round, while Samanyu Bedi carded a 14-over 86 to tie for 40th. Mitch Benson wrapped up the Bluejays' first-round scores with an 88 (+16) to rank 42nd.

The second round of the 2024 CCIW Men's Golf Championship begins tomorrow morning, May 3, at 8:00 a.m.
