ELMHURST, Ill. – Elmhurst University Athletics has announced the resignation of Chris Harrison as Elmhurst's Director of Tennis.

"We would like to thank Coach Harrison for all that he has done during his tenure at Elmhurst, both as a coach and successful student-athlete. Both our men's and women's tennis programs have significantly benefited from his leadership," said Dr. Glen Brittich, Director of Athletics.

One of the most decorated players in Elmhurst men's tennis history, Harrison was a key component of Elmhurst's back-to-back CCIW Championships in 2013 and 2014, earning a pair of First Team All-CCIW accolades in 2015 and 2016. He was the first player in program history to compete at the national tournament for the Bluejays. Harrison wrapped up his four-year career with the Jays with the fourth-most singles wins in program history (56) and third-best career singles record (.615).

A national search has begun to find Elmhurst's next leader of the men's and women's tennis programs. Any inquiries may be directed to Director of Athletics Dr. Glen Brittich (glen.brittich@elmhurst.edu).
