Men's Tennis Picks Up Victory over College of DuPage

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's tennis team picked up a dominant 7-0 victory over the Colege of DuPage Thursday evening at the Brune Tennis Courts.

Elmhurst (3-1, 0-0 CCIW) heads into conference play this weekend on a high note after picking up big match victories at each court.

In doubles competition, the teams of Ben Cavka/Muhammad Salman and Yannis Varsamis/Charalampos Vasilopoulos each won their doubles contests by a score of 8-2, heading into singles competition with a two-point lead.

Cavka took care of business at No. 1 singles, taking down Ethan Kim of COD in straight sets, 6-0 6-0. Russell Reyes and Salman each won their matches on courts two and three by a score of 6-1, 6-1, while Vasilopoulos followed Csvka at court four with a 6-0, 6-0 match victory. Wrapping up competition on court five, Varsamis defeated .Franco Calzantes 6-1, 6-0 to finish the team scoring for Elmhurst.
