ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's and women's track and field teams both earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In addition to the team accolades, six members of the women's track and field team earned individual All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA. 

On the men's side, the Bluejays' posted a 3.19 grade-point averaged for the 2020-21 academic year to earn the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award. The Elmhurst women's team posted a team gpa of 3.41 to earn the honor for the third consecutive year. 

Six members of the women's squad earned individual Academic honors as well. Mallory Burke, Emily Gilligan, Huda Hussaini, Amanda Lams, Alyssa Rafuse and Sarah Stephens all took home individual Academic honors. In order to qualify for the award, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale while also finishing the indoor track and field season among the top 50 individuals listed in their respective event. 

Hussaini ranked 28th in the nation in the 100 meters while Gilligan was ranked 21st in the steepelechase. Burke ranked 24th in the indoor high jump while

Hussaini was ranked 42nd in the 200 meters while Raysby was ranked 22nd in the high jump while Lams ranked in the top 50 in the indoor triple jump (14th) and the long jump (43rd). Stephens raked 41st in the indoor pentathlon and Rafuse ranked 33rd in the indoor 800 meters. The six Bluejays combined to earn 11 all-conference honors during the 2021 CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
