HANOVER PARK, Ill. – The Elmhurst men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to No. 6 Case Western.
The Spartans (13-5) dropped just six total games in doubles before taking all six singles matches in straight sets.
CJ Krimbill and Louis Stuerke led off the match with an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles over 
Chris Harrison and 
Quinn Jennings. Case Western's bottom two tandems won by 8-2 and 8-3 scores over 
Kyle Endicott/
Justin Delawder and 
Alex Abbuhl/
Ricardo Franco respectively.
In singles play, Josh Dughi (6-0, 6-1 over Delawder at No. 6) and Krimbill (6-1, 6-2 over Harrison at No. 1) clinched the Spartan victory. Stuerke (No. 4 over Endicott) and Kevin Dong (No. 5 over Franco) both won by 6-3, 6-0 margins. Case Western finished off the victory with wins from James Fojtasek and Robert Stroup. Fojtasek grinded out a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jennings, while Stroup took a 6-4, 6-2 decision against Abbuhl.
Elmhurst (2-8) opens up CCIW play when they travel to play Wheaton College Tuesday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m.
