CCIW Softball Tournament Website

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced the dates and times for the 2012 CCIW Softball Tournament.

Elmhurst is making its first appearance in the conference tournament since the 1997 season. The Bluejays (25-14 overall) carry a 7-7 league record into the tournament as the number four seed.

Illinois Wesleyan University and Carthage College shared the league title with identical 11-3 conference records, but Illinois Wesleyan won the right to host the conference tournament on a tiebreaker.

The tournament will take place on Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5. Due to the fact that Illinois Wesleyan is also hosting the CCIW Track and Field Championships, the softball tournament will utilize fields at both Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois State University.

Friday, May 4
Game 1 - #3 Millikin vs. #2 Carthage - 10:00 am at Illinois Wesleyan
Game 2 - #4 Elmhurst vs. Ill. Wesleyan - 12 pm at Illinois Wesleyan
Game 3 - Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser - 3 pm at Illinois State
Game 4 - Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner - 5 pm at Illinois State

Saturday, May 5
Game 5 - Game 4 Loser vs. Game 3 Winner - 9 am at Illinois Wesleyan
Game 6 - Game 4 Winner vs. Game 5 Winner - 11 am at Illinois Wesleyan
Game 7 -(Necessary only if Game 5 winner beats game 4 winner in game 6) - 2 pm at Illinois State.
