Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College softball team moved to 6-6 in CCIW play after splitting a doubleheader with Wheaton College. Elmhurst rallied for a 2-1 walk-off win in game one before falling 5-2 in game two.

ELMHURST 2, WHEATON 1 (Game One) -  Elmhurst (22-13 overall) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 2-1 walk off victory over the Thunder.

Wheaton (22-16, 4-8 CCIW) carried a 1-0 lead into the seventh before the Bluejays rallied. Meg Griffin led off the inning with a double to left field. Clare Bukowski sacrificed Griffin to third. Julie Devine hit a ground ball down the third base line that was touched in fair territory by the Thunder, allowing Griffin to score the tying run. After a Lindsey Mikulecky walk, Bella Masini cracked a game-winning double to left center to score pinch runner Ele Walter.

Lindsay Nauman picked up the win for Elmhurst, improving to 10-6 on the season. Nauman scattered five hits and four walks over seven innings while allowing just one unearned run. Nauman fanned four in the victory.

WHEATON 5, ELMHURST 2 (Game Two) - Wheaton jumped out to a 3-0 lead and tacked on a pair of late insurance runs to earn the 5-2 win.

Leading 1-0 in the fifth, Wheaton's Suzanne Teuben drove in two runs with a single to put the Thunder up 3-0.

Elmhurst answered back with two runs in the top of the sixth to pull to within a run. Two-out, run-scoring singles from Katie Boals and Masini accounted for Elmhurst's runs.

Wheaton's Megan Chrans ripped a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth to extended the Thunder's lead back to three runs.

Stephanie Iori dropped to 9-7 on the season after taking the loss. Iori surrendered nine hits, two walks, and five runs in six innings of work. She struck out eight in the loss.

Elmhurst travels to Lawrence University on Saturday, April 28.
