CLERMONT, Fla. - The Elmhurst College softball team moved to 2-2 on the season after toppling Bates College and then falling to Bowdoin College at the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.

Rose Wysocki for the go-ahead run. The Bluejays tacked on an insurance run in the fifth inning on a Wysocki RBI single.
Lindsay Nauman improved to 1-1 on the season by picking up the win. Nauman scattered eight hits while tossing a complete game for the Bluejays. Nauman allowed just two earned runs and struck out two in the win.
BOWDOIN 3, ELMHURST 1 - Elmhurst hitters couldn't solve Bowdoin's Kara Nilan, managing just five hits and one run in a 3-1 loss.
Bowdoin (3-4) scored an unearned run in the first and plated two runs in the third to open up a 3-0 lead.
Lindsey Mikulecky doubled home Bowlin the fourth inning to put Elmhurst on the scoreboard. The Bluejays put the tying runs on base in the sixth inning, but couldn't come up with the game-tying hit.
Stephanie Iori dropped to 1-1 on the year after taking the loss for Elmhurst. Iori allowed two earned runs and six hits while working six innings. She walked one and struck out six.
Elmhurst plays the University of Wisconsin-Superior and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Sunday, March 20.
