OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team moved to 4-4 on the season after splitting matches with a pair of teams ranked in the national top-20 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational. 

The Bluejays started the invitational with a 3-0 win over sixth-ranked University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh before falling 3-1 in the night cap to 20th-ranked University of Texas-Dallas.

ELMHURST 3, UW-OSHKOSH 0 - After failing to defeat a nationally ranked team in 2009, the Bluejays scored an upset win over sixth-ranked UW-Oshkosh 25-22, 25-21, 25-21. 

Melissa Miehlke led the Bluejays' in the victory with a seven-kill, 19-dig performance. Janelle Thompson, Paige Fombelle, Kaitlyn Wilks, and Hannah Lessen finished with six kills apiece in the victory. Lessen added 11 digs and three blocks while Perrie Morgan totaled a team-leading 23 digs. Megan Reynolds recorded seven blocks while Katie Rueffer tallied 17 assists. Erin Thill chipped in with 16 assists for Elmhurst.

TEXAS DALLAS 3, ELMHURST 1 - Elmhurst dropped to 4-4 after falling to 20th-ranked Texas-Dallas 13-25, 14-25, 25-15, 16-25. 

Thompson and Lessen recorded five kills each to lead the Elmhurst offense in the loss. Rueffer totaled 17 assists while Thill finished with 11 assists and 16 digs. Morgan totaled a team-leading 33 digs while Reynolds recorded three blocks. 

Elmhurst faces Lake Forest College on the tournament's second day (September 11) at 11:00 a.m.
