WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team slipped to 23-12 overall following a pair of losses at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational.

Elmhurst had its four match winning streak snapped by opening the day with a 31-29, 25-22, 26-24 loss to Luther College. The Bluejays closed the tournament with a 25-17, 26-24, 25-15 loss to the University of Whitewater.

LUTHER 3, ELMHURST 0 - Elmhurst dropped to 23-11 on the season following a tightly-contested three-set match to Luther College. Antonéya Veasy Smith and Hannah Lessen led Elmhurst with seven kills apiece in the loss. Lessen added a team-leading 14 digs while Melissa Miehlke totaled six kills and eight digs. Megan Reynolds tallied four kills and a team-leading six blocks. Janelle Thompson, Marci Novak, and Kaitlyn Wilks all recorded four kills apiece in the loss. Erin Thill tallied 16 assists while Katie Rueffer set-up 15 kills for the Bluejays.

UW-WHITEWATER 3, ELMHURST 0 -The Bluejays dropped their second straight match, falling in sets to the host Warhawks. Miehlke finished with a team-leading seven kills in the loss. Thompson and Reynolds finished with four kills apiece. Reynolds added a team-high five blocks while Wilks added four blocks for the Bluejays. Perrie Morgan dug up 15 attacks from the Warhawks.



Elmhurst hosts North Central College in a CCIW Tournament play-in match on Tuesday, November 2, at 7:00 p.m.
