ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst volleyball team improved to 19-9 on the season by knocking off Central College and 15th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the Elmhurst College Invitational. 
The Bluejays started the day with a 25-14, 21-25, 25-18, 26-24 victory over Central before dispatching UW-Oshkosh in four sets (25-12, 25-18, 18-25, 25-19). 
ELMHURST 3, CENTRAL 1 - The Bluejays won the their fifth consecutive match by toppling the Dutch in four sets.
After taking a 2-1 lead in the match, the Bluejays opened up lead in the fourth set before took a late 22-21 lead. The two teams traded points back-and-forth with Central fighting off a match point to knot the score at 24-24, but the Bluejays scored back-to-back points to put the match away.
Megan Reynolds tallied a team-leading 14 kills and six blocks to lead the Elmhurst attack. 
Marci Novak added a season-high 11 kills for Elmhurst while 
Janelle Thompson totaled six. 
Perrie Morgan tallied a team-leading 22 digs and two aces while 
Katie Rueffer recorded 20 assists and 13 digs. 
Erin Thill turned in a 14-assist, seven-dig, three-ace performance for Elmhurst.
ELMHURST 3, UW-OSHKOSH 1 - Elmhurst ran its winning streak to six matches by upending UW-Oshkosh for the second time this season. 
After rolling over the Titans 25-12 in the opening set, the Bluejays trailed 18-17 in the second set but rattled off eight straight points to take a 2-0 lead in the match. UW-Oshkosh battled back to win the third set 25-18, but Elmhurst jumped out to 16-10 advantage in the fourth set and never looked back, downing the Titans 25-19. 
Reynolds and 
Melissa Miehlke pounded down nine kills apiece to lead Elmhurst in the victory. Reynolds added eight blocks while Miehlke tallied 19 digs. 
Kaitlyn Wilks finished with eight kills and a team-leading 10 blocks in the victory. Thompson and 
Hannah Lessen finished with seven kills apiece for Elmhurst. Lessen added 17 digs while Morgan totaled 20 for the Bluejays. Thill registered 23 assists while Rueffer totaled 18.
Elmhurst hosts the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and Cornell College on the tournament's second day.
