ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team made short work of Augustana College, pounding the Vikings 25-13, 25-11, 25-20 to improve to 14-9 overall. 

Elmhurst wasted little time jumping all over Augustana in the opening set, taking a 12-1 lead en route to the easy 25-13 win. The Bluejays used several big runs in the second set to put  Augustana (9-16, 3-2) down 2-0. The Vikings jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the third set, but the Bluejays rattled off five consecutive points and never trailed for the remainder of the set en route to the 25-20 triumph.

Megan Reynolds turned in a 10-kill, four-block performance to power the Bluejays in the victory. Hannah Lessen recorded seven kills and 12 digs while Antonéya Veasy Smith totaled seven kills. Kaitlyn Wilks tallied six kills and blocks while Perrie Morgan finished with 12 digs. Katie Rueffer registered a team-leading 25 assists while Erin Thill finished with 10.

Elmhurst travels to the Lake Forest College Triangular on Saturday, October 16. The Bluejays will take on Ripon College at 1:00 p.m., before facing the host Foresters at 3:00 p.m.
