ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team captured the team title at the Elmhurst College Invitational by defeating the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and St. Norbert College.

After winning a pair of matches on Friday, the Bluejays began the day with a 3-1 win over UW-River Falls and closed out the tournament with a thrilling 3-2 win over St. Norbert.

ELMHURST 3, UW-RIVER FALLS 1 - Elmhurst moved to 19-10 overall by defeating UW-River Falls 25-11, 25-17, 20-25, 25-16. Alison Friedrich led the Bluejays with 13 kills while Caitlin O'Hara added 10 kills and three blocks. Morgan Jones chipped in with eight kills and three blocks while Emily Hilliker finished with a team-high 21 assists. Callie Schriner finished with a team-high 16 digs.

ELMHURST 3, ST. NORBERT 2 - The Bluejays earned the team championship with a thrilling 26-28, 26-28, 25-21, 29-27, 15-11 come-from-behind win over St. Norbert College.  O'Hara led the charge for the Bluejays, finishing with 21 kills and five blocks. Friedrich totaled 19 kills and 19 digs while Jones added eight blocks.  Lisa Burger totaled a team-high 29 digs while Jameela Chaudhry finished with 28 digs. Hilliker finished with 29 assists while Lindy Melville added 19 assists.

Friedrich and O'Hara were both named to the all-tournament team for their play.

The Bluejays travel to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational on October 31 - November 1.
