ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Augustana College 25-19, 23-25, 18-25, 25-12, 15-13.

Elmhurst (16-9, 3-3 CCIW) took the first set 25-19 and led 23-17 in the second set before Augustana (17-7, 1-4 CCIW) rallied to win the next eight points and take the set 25-23.  The Vikings grabbed the third set 25-18, but Elmhurst knotted the match by winning the fourth set 25-12. 

The Bluejays had an 11-6 lead in the final set, before the Vikings rattled off the next five points to knot the score at 11-11.  Elmhurst opened up a 14-13 lead and Caitlin O'Hara smashed down the game's final kill to give Elmhurst the 15-13 win.

Alison Friedrich led the charge for the Bluejays with 17 kills and 19 digs. O'Hara added 13 kills and four blocks. Morgan Jones and Emily Hilliker each finished with 10 kills apiece. Hilliker added a team-high 20 assists while Jones added two blocks. Lindy Melville chipped in with 16 assists while Jameela Chaudhry turned in a team-high 20 digs.

Elmhurst travels to Carthage College on Tuesday, October 21, for a 7:00 p.m. match.
